A Cotswold Cottage Garden
The existing exterior space is overgrown and hides the beautiful Cotswold stone cottage.
The new design provides the client with a spacious, meandering gravel path around the house, complemented with Mediterranean style planting that makes the most of the sunny site. An extended dining area is situated just outside of the kitchen and the dry stone retaining wall doubles up as seating if required. The focal point of the site is a raised scented garden laid out as a formal parterre.
The site needs to be opened up to let it breathe and the first step in this process is to remove all unwanted planting and debris, put in the drainage and set the new levels.
