Office Landscaping
The client is a research and development business based in Nottingham. The brief was to design the landscaping of the areas used by staff moving between the three buildings and the car park. Such a large area, with few unifying visual elements, required a landscaping style that would work with the dominant surrounding architecture, whilst maintaining an identity of its own.
Strong, simple elements are used to attract and draw the eye to key areas within the space. Repetition of elements is a key visual factor in unifying the site. Soft landscaping, although bold and geometric in form gives a human dimension to a site that is dominated by towering office buildings.
Planting is used with strongly defined clipped hedging, at various heights and widths, used in a sculptural way, forming separate compositions to attract the eye.
