A Garden in Provence
The garden of this bastide in Provence is in need of complete redevelopment to improve the client’s enjoyment of the site.
The proposed garden is designed along a south north axis, with an extended terrace area, shaded by climbers growing over a wrought iron pergola. Steps lead down to the swimming pool, which is a calm oasis on a hot summers day.
The garden has been extended through the cherry tree orchard to include a circular ‘scented’ garden, embracing the native Mediterranean planting of the region, and finally to an intimate seating area from which the client can enjoy the views of the distant Luberon hills.
