A Garden for Entertaining in Alderley Edge
The client wanted a garden for entertaining in Alderley Edge so we created a smart outdoor room. It is a small garden so we had to play around with materials and layout to make it look as spacious as possible. Pale materials help to reflect light and make the garden look larger and the main open space has been split in two with a change of levels.
A painted feature wall is the main focal point as seen from the conservatory, with a window cut through so the planting behind can be seen.
A bespoke stone bench forms part of the walls of the raised planting bed and provides permanent seating. As space is at a premium, this style of seating takes up the minimum of room possible.
I can honestly say that the experience from start to finish has been fantastic. Louise has designed a garden that truly went beyond my expectations. The project team delivered on time, and the quality of the final product was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, or equally use them again on my next project.
Richard Thompson, Alderley Edge
Planting is mainly evergreen for year round interest with a simple green, white and burgundy palette. The garden really comes to life in the evening when the lights come on, making it an ideal space for entertaining.
The walls have been treated using cedar slatts to give a contemporary look to the space, with downlights spaced at regular intervals along the timber screening.
